i'd add inspire hex. you help you team, gain energy, and often steal a necro hex which will be strong once you cast it.

Spiteful Spirit, Empathy, Insidious Parasite.
A very expensive combo designed to utterly rape and humiliate non-casters...

Part of the idea about this build was for it to work against both against casters and warriors/rangers. Tried a bit with inspired hex and it seemed more usefull than rende enchantment. BTW this build also works in pve as a bonus, especially in the later areas

Does mark of pain trigger on a sword with fire damage or just swords with slashing damage?

Only on swords with slashing damage. This is what makes running curses so infuriating in Pugs.
Me: Hey Warrior1, Warrior2 do you do physical damage?
Warrior1: ......silence.....
Warrior2: Yah, I use swords.
Me: Alright, I'll take Mark of Pain.
Zone in and ... suprise, suprise.... they're both packing firey dragon swords.

You should ask if theyre weapons do physical or elemental damage. Most of them get it then

I would hope any warrior would stop attacking once they realized they were losing like 70 hp per swing. In reality, that combo acts more like a pacifism that costs 35 energy and takes 5 seconds to cast.

spitefull spirit is only good because it does aoe damage, so although you may be at full health and you know you wont go past like 60% hp with it, your killing your entire team and thats where it really shines. i think i even saw an iway necro use that on a ball... didnt work at all because it gets removed so fast.
insidious parasite seems like CA material imo. and empathy wont actually *kill* a warrior, but will definetly soften him up (still wouldnt use it tho)
anyway thats my view on those... but like i said theyre awesome at killing ghosts

id personally use necro primary for this elite.
for the extra damage boost with the rune and for the soul reaping energy benifit.
spitefull spirit can make "capping the alter" very easy for your team if you can play your cards right.
cast it on all the warriors you can find on the alter and it will hurt not only one team but the other teams players that are in range also.
if you can get the fast recharge often enough, think how iway teams feel when they have 2 choices, fight and die trying or dont try at all.
spitefull is one of the best "softening up" skills you can find imo.
its one of my favorite skills.

Dont really use it for the damage or healing. mostly its because of its low cost and cooldown its great to check if the target have any spell or hex breaker on so you dont waste spiteful spirit. also use it to lessen the chance that the hex removers get the spiteful spirit. The chance for gettin healed is a bonus

and combined with the damage being pretty random it may be hard for the monks to heal the damage it does. Combined with mark of pain and some warriors or rangers with physical damage, the targets get really softened up unless they spread out, thereby making it harder for the monk cause he have to run around
